Katells timber fireplaces are manufactured from Forest Stewardship Council®, (FSC®) certified timber and taken from well managed and certified forests. Chain of custody certification ensures environmental issues

are protected.

Katell purchases hundreds of cubic metres of MDF each year for its timber fireplace production and 0% of timber waste is sent to landfill. All waste timber and MDF is incinerated internally to generate heat for internal production and warehousing areas. Heat recovery is recognised by WRAP as an efficient means of recycling.

70% of all internal packaging material is sourced from recycled materials and Katell encourages further recycling through its take-back scheme for all home delivery customers.

Katell actively encourages its employees through the Cycle to Work scheme, actively promoting healthier journeys to work and reduced pollution.

Katell is committed to making its products energy efficient:

All electric fireplaces feature LED flame effects that can be run independently of the heat output. This flame effect only setting provides significantly energy savings.

All Katell electric fires feature a thermostat that helps to regulate the room temperature ensuring the fire is only one when it needs to be.

Many Katell fireplaces are supplied as one-box products, minimising the amount of packaging and reducingtransport costs.

All Katell electric fires are compliant to the EU Ecodesign Directive 2015/1188.
